Our artist of the week is this hardworking individual, a Hip-hop, Hip-co, and Afro-beats recording artist Franklin Edward Harris. Popularly known as Skinny boi Kpanto.
This young and vibrant rapper continues to do all he can to reach the top and he is gradually getting there.
Skinny Boi, born June 26, is also studying Information Technology at BlueChrist University in Monrovia.
Initially, his musical career kicked up in 2014. But he was actively recognized in 2015 by his manager Afo4doe the CEO of Holy Recordz.
Who Signed him that same year. Since then it has been a different story for this young rapper.
His passion for music has been there since he was an infant. Kpanto grew up listening to rap music which caught his attention and encourages him greatly to do music.
He tried to do his best to have his voice heard by getting his people to feel him lyrically through the kind of music he loved.
In 2017 Kpanto drop a mixtape titled “Real Rapper Come Last” that had at least 6 songs on it. Featuring artists and producers like Venny Beatz, Kelvin K, C-Essay, Primex and his own CEO Afo4doe.
In the same year, he was nominated for four awards. Hip-co song of the year “Heavy Weight”, “Hip-co artist of the year” and “Best New Artist of the year”.
These nominations came from Liberia Music Award (LMA). Liberia Entertainment Award (LEA), Liberia Entertainment Award Australia (LEAA) and Tunes Liberia.
As a matter of facts, Kpanto has some good songs to his name that you can find here.
Just to name a few songs like “Where your Eh”, Heavy Weight”, “No Equal”, “Eat it for Free”,”Problem”,”Juke It Good”, “Bayka Dance” and the just-released one that has to do with The Government of Liberia not giving an account for a 16 billion Liberian dollars “Bring our Container Back” which is trending and many other fine songs.
Skinny boi Kpanto is single and has no kid. But is also not looking”Smile”.
