The wake-up call to stop the abuse of Tramadol is on. Which is a good thing for the youth of Liberia. Over the past months, many young people have been seen abusing this drug and adopting the habit of taking it on a daily basis.
According to Wikipedia Tramadol, is sold under the brand name Ultram among others, it is an opioid pain medication used to treat moderate to moderately severe pain.
When taken by mouth in an immediate-release formulation, the onset of pain relief usually occurs within an hour. It is often combined with paracetamol (acetaminophen) as this is known to improve the efficacy of tramadol in relieving pain.
Common side effects include constipation, itchiness, and nausea. Serious side effects may include seizures, increased risk of serotonin syndrome.
It is not recommended in those who are at risk of suicide. While not recommended for women who are breastfeeding. In the short, the drug is dangerous and should only be given to an individual base on Doctor’s prescription.
These two young men Ak & Breeze- B did a good job by releasing this beautiful single to educate their peers and warn others of the danger and abuse of Tramadol.
